Girls Like Us

This looks like a good book to read. Takes me back to Junior High School. Carole King was one of my favorites. I knew the words to all her songs. I used to lie on my bed and sing-a-long with the record (yes, vinyl record). I was a happy girl!

Loss

My mother lost a dear friend yesterday. Her name is Wanda. Please say a prayer for her family. Wanda had cancer and died a few days after surgery. She stayed at the hospital with my mother after my cancer surgery. She was a very good friend to my mother. She always had a good word and a beautiful smile. Wanda, we will miss you.

Ok, here is my a resolution for mid-summer. I have noticed that my whining starts about Wednesday afternoon and continues until TGIF. So, no more TGIF, can’t wait ’til Friday, blah blah blah. I am going to stay on a positive note and have Feel Good Fridays! I want to post photos that evoke good feelings, fun times, share new adventures….(no I am not going to write a book about my summer vacation). And since Wednesdays are happy hump days, it is only fitting that Friday is feel good day. H’mm, marvelous mondays, terrific tuesdays . . . I see a theme beginning.

So in honor of my First Feel Good Friday, here are some happy tiny cute adorable things found on etsy.com

And what would a day be like without some cute overload?

Hope you are feeling good on Friday!

Dark Sea Green

I am a happy girl! I upgraded my wordpress to include the edit CSS function. I wanted a background with more meaning besides the plain white one, and voila, dark sea green. Now, I want a special background of my own creation. I’ll be a maniac!

And what’s a post without a picture? Remember Jacques Cousteau – The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau? Wonderful documentaries, timeless.

French oceanographer, inventor, photographer, explorer, and environmentalist

Jacques Cousteau was an undersea explorer, a photographer, an inventor of diving devices, and a writer. Most important was his work that he produced and wrote for television, which enlightened audiences around the world on the subjects of the ocean’s natural treasures and the effects of pollution.
