Saturday, I wish it was the fourth of july

We are in the midst of the weirdest winter I have ever seen in Oklahoma.  We are having March winds and April showers along with 40s at night and 50-60s in the daytime.  Weird, and nice.  No snow to shovel, no black and creepy ice patches.  I do very much miss seeing the snowflakes falling down.  The little snowfalls really make it Wintertime.  So, how about some winter illustrations to get the feel of wintertime?  Etsy, of course.  Some of you up north and other snowy regions may still enjoy the wonderful snowy art! smile.

February Snowed In

dreams of winter

Been thinking lately about the snow.  Snowflakes.  I really like to see the snow falling and the snow on the ground when no one has walked through it.  My favorite part is being inside my house all warm and cozy and watching the snow fall outside.  All this makes it feel like the holidays to me.

I have fond memories of getting all bundled up, running outside in the falling snow and catching a big fat snowflake on my tongue.  The air would be so cold I could hardly breath.  Then running back inside to get warm and my grandmother making pink snow icecream.  Yumm!  The windows would all be fogged up from the floor furnace.  And there would be a holiday special on the television.  Good times!
